This past Saturday, August 28th we had a great work party hosted by Seattle Works HandsOn Leadership. They provided the tools, paint, plants, expertise and volunteers that joined our families in helping polish up the school. The group of 30+ volunteers worked to create a beautiful learning space. Thanks to all the families that came out and to Seattle Works!

The Hamlin Robinson School is very excited to be the first in the Puget Sound region to offer an innovative reading program designed for struggling readers known as RAVE-O.
We are moving! The movers have started packing everything from the old location on Tuesday, August 2nd and have been bringing it to the NEW Hamlin Robinson School truck by truck. Mostly everything is already in the teacher's classrooms, waiting to be unpacked when they come next week.
Has it been another week already? The new Hamlin Robinson School location is getting closer and closer to being completed! Here is what's new:
Most of the classrooms on the main level are painted, and this week the auditorium and lunch room will get a new and bright coat of paint.
The carpet is being installed throughout the classrooms to provide a comfortable space for learning.
The electrician is finishing his work on the outside lighting.
The drinking fountains and plumbing are being connected.
Computer networking and telecommunications is ready to be installed.
Landscpaing will be trimmed back to create a welcoming appearance.
We will have a work party on Wednesday, July 28th (9am - 2pm) to do some weeding, prunning and other glamorous tasks. What a great way to get a sneak peak of the building! Find out more info here. On July 6, we welcome Joan Beauregard as Interim Head of School. Joan brings a wealth of experience, serving as both Head of School and Interim Head in a number of independent schools in the Pacific Northwest.
The renovations at our new location (1700 East Union) are proceeding at a very quick pace! The lockers have been painted (lockers....I think every student is excited to have a locker.) By the end of this week all the classrooms will have been painted and carpet will be installed next.
