Two day program on October 8 and 9th.
RAVE-O: A systematic reading fluency and comprehension intervention curriculum training offered by the Hamlin Robinson School. The RAVE-O Program is an innovative reading program designed for struggling readers in primary grades.
The RAVE-O Program has three goals: 1. increase a child’s ability to read fluently with comprehension; 2. expand children’s knowledge of their language—from vocabulary and grammar to the underlying roots of words; 3. engage children and teachers in a love of language in all its variousness.
The program systematically and simultaneously works on multiple linguistic fronts. Through varied activities the young brain learns how to build up, use, and connect all it knows about a single word at the same moment in time. The program addresses instructional activities for both the major components in reading and the major known impediments to reading development.
THE RAVE-O curriculum and materials include: • Manual with detailed activities for a minimum of sixteen (16) weeks, seventy (70) sessions • Instructional kit of manipulatable materials • Binder of reproducible materials • Set of Minute Stories for each week • Computer program for individual practice
TRAINING: $300 per participant
