Allison Echanove

Position at HRS:  Art Teacher

Mrs. Echanove has been Hamlin Robinson School’s art teacher for over 13 years.  She loves art, teaching art, and inspiring students in their own artwork.  She chose to teach at Hamlin Robinson because she is a parent of a dyslexic student who attended the school and was personally touched by the experience.  Teaching at Hamlin Robinson School gives Mrs. Echanove the opportunity to see the student transformations that come from learning in a specialized setting with such a big heart.

Mrs. Echanove creates art classes that provide a safe place to explore, where there is no right or wrong.  Mrs. Echanove focuses on teaching to each individual style and skill level.  She teaches her students to never give up or throw away their work.  Instead, she encourages them to rework mistakes back into their designs.

Mrs. Echanove is pursuing a Masters of Art Education and has a special love of oil painting.  In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with her sister in Palouse, WA for various local events.
