Position at HRS: 8th Grade Classroom Teacher

Mrs. Ledbetter is a beloved institution at Hamlin Robinson School.  She has been teaching at Hamlin Robinson since 1988 – 23 years of her 42 years devoted to education.  She is a Slingerland® Master Teacher and certified K-12 teacher.

Mrs. Ledbetter enjoys working with both adult and child dyslexics.  Watching dyslexic students become successful makes Hamlin Robinson a special place for her.  In the classroom, Mrs. Ledbetter does not ‘talk down’ to students, but works with them to find out where they are educationally.  She then sets goals to move students forward – sometimes individually if needed.

In her spare time, Mrs. Ledbetter tutors, teaches summer school, conducts teacher training and does screening of prospective Hamlin Robinson students.
