At Hamlin Robinson School, community is an integral part of a child's education. It extends well beyond the student and the classroom – the HRS community is comprised of parents, siblings, trustees, alumni families, faculty and staff, and others who value the school’s mission. In part, the HRS community continues to matter because so many wonderful people find their way here. Our families are diverse in many ways: career, race, religion, family structure, sexual orientation, socio-economic background. Personal relationships matter, and providing a supportive, nurturing environment ensures that students and families thrive at Hamlin Robinson School. All parents are members of the Parent To Parent Network. A Parent Steering Committee plans parent education nights and organizes hospitality, new parent sponsors, volunteer efforts, and community service activities. Integrating new parents into the school community is an especially important role of the Parent Club. Each year, approximately one-quarter of the school community is comprised of new students. Through our Ambassador Family Sponsors, we make every effort to help families feel welcome and connected, as well as provide a resource for information and questions. For many, the relationships they developed at HRS remain important long after they leave the school.
