Strategic Plan

In June 2010, the Hamlin Robinson School Board of Trustees has adopted the 2010 Strategic Plan. This plan will guide the development of the school for the next ten years.

The plan outlines a long-term strategic vision:
Believing that all children can learn with confidence and success, Hamlin Robinson School provides an engaging, multi‐sensory academic program within a vibrant urban setting. Founded as an elementary school and now serving grades one through eight, HRS aspires to establish a  comprehensive institute for dyslexia education, research, training and information – a nationally recognized resource center for language and
learning issues.

The HRS leadership has identified five strategic pillars that provide the framework for successful implementation of the school’s ambitious vision:

  1. Educational Experience
  2. Learning Facilities
  3. Institutional Leadership
  4. Financial Sustainability
  5. Community Outreach

These focus areas will provide the foundation for our work in the next three to five years and guide annual goal setting and operations. By strengthening, increasing and enhancing the school’s capacity within these pillars, we will position Hamlin Robinson to launch development of an expanded center of teaching, learning, research and training in the issues of dyslexia and language related learning challenges.
