| HAMLIN ROBINSON SUMMER SCHOOL: This half-day program includes
multisensory instruction in handwriting, spelling, encoding, decoding and
reading comprehension using the Slingerland® Approach. Children work with a master teacher
in a small classroom setting and may also receive
tutoring from teachers enrolled in a teacher training practicum
course. The morning also includes a short assembly
which features group singing and an oral language activity,
a recess break, and a daily story time.
Children who are entering grades one through seven
and whose language skills are not consistent
with other intellectual or academic abilities are accepted
for the summer school.
