Support Programs

Counseling
School counselors meet with classes twice monthly to discuss concerns and develop problem-solving skills in group settings.

Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapy is offered on the Hamlin Robinson School campus. HRS contracts with Speech Language and Learning Services (SLLS) for this service. All new students are screened by the language therapist. Parents may choose to contract for individual therapy at an additional cost directly through SLLS.

Summer School
The four-week Slingerland Teacher Training Summer School provides classroom and individual instruction for students. Teachers who attend the graduate-level course put their new skills to use.

Adult Class
Ten-week evening classes for adult dyslexics are offered in the fall and winter. This program utilizes the same Slingerland multi-sensory approach, which is used with the children in the day school.
