Tuition

Hamlin Robinson School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, reliant on tuition and charitable giving to cover annual operating expenses. Independent school education is a choice for families. In an effort to keep tuition at as reasonable a level as possible, a family does not pay the full cost of educating their children. At HRS there is a greater than 20% difference between the actual cost of educating a student and the tuition charged. Tax-deductible donations in support of the Annual Fund, the auction and other fund raising efforts help make up this difference.

2011-2012 School Year Tuition Information

Lower School (grades 1 - 5):  $16,536

Middle School (grades 6 - 8):  $18,015

A non-refundable application fee of $100 must accompany each application or request for re-enrollment. Tuition can be paid as a lump sum or in installments throughout the school year.

Financial Aid

Enrolling your child at an independent school is a significant financial investment. Most families must budget carefully and make some financial sacrifices to provide this level of education for their children. To help families manage the cost, Hamlin Robinson School’s financial aid program offers limited aid to qualifying families.

HRS is able to offer tuition financial aid to about 10-15% of its student body. Most awards range between $1,000- and $5,000. Awards are made to cover a portion of tuition and the School does not award greater than 50% of tuition to any student.

Hamlin Robinson School uses School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS, a service of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)). The SSS application can be mailed to SSS or submitted online. Financial aid awards for the following year are made in the spring. Funds permitting, additional awards are made throughout the summer.
