Ways to Give

Hamlin Robinson relies on charitable gifts to provide additional support, financial aid, professional development, capital improvements, program enhancements, and more. All gifts are valued, and we hope you will contribute in a way that is meaningful for your family.

Make a Pledge
Rather than making an outright gift of cash, you may wish to pledge your contribution over a period of time. Pledges to the Annual Fund are payable by the end of the fiscal year (June 30). Capital campaign pledges can be paid over three to five years, allowing donors to give a more substantial amount and reap the benefit of tax deductions over a longer period of time.

Matching Gifts Increase Your Impact
Many corporations and foundations will match their employees’ charitable giving. This can double or even triple your gift; if you make pledge payments, the benefit of matching can be realized over a number of years.

Gifts of Appreciated Property
For some donors, it is advantageous to make a gift of appreciated property such as stocks, bonds, or real estate. This offers two significant advantages: 1) you can avoid paying capital gains on the increased value of the security; and 2) you receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock with the gift is made. Gifts In Kind
Independent schools welcome donations of goods and services that support the educational program and mission. Technology, furniture, supplies, books, athletic equipment and other items can enhance students’ learning experience. Gift value is determined by the donor through an appraisal or a record of the purchase of the property.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts serve as a meaningful way for a donors to fulfil their financial and philanthropic goals. Unlike cash donations, they are typically made from assets in your financial estate rather than disposable income, and come to fruition upon your death. A misconception is that planned giving is only for the "wealthy." The truth is, even people of modest means can make a difference through planned giving.

Hamlin Robinson School is a 501(c)(3) corporation and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
