Campus
Purpose-built and mission-driven, the Hamlin Robinson School campus in Seattle’s North Beacon Hill (Judkins Park neighborhood) is thoughtfully designed for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
After more than 32 years in leased spaces, HRS opened its first permanent building in 2015, creating a home intentionally built to serve students in grades one through eight.
The addition of a second building in 2022 (to house our middle school students) expanded opportunities for growth, collaboration, and connection across our community. In 2026, the launch of our preschool further broadened our ability to support learners from the very beginning of their educational journey.
A Campus Designed for How Students Learn Best
Every space on campus is designed with students in mind from dedicated libraries and specialized learning spaces.
Everything is designed to meet students academically, socially, and developmentally. Our Learning Center in both buildings provides additional support to both the internal and external communities.
More Than Buildings
The HRS campus is an active part of the learning experience itself. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to reduce barriers, nurture confidence, and empower students to discover their strengths as learners.
The campus also serves as a gathering place for the broader community, with facilities available for rental and partnership opportunities that extend the mission and impact of HRS beyond the school day.
Land Acknowledgement
Hamlin Robinson School would like to acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe. Our aim is to stand with them in honoring their enduring connection to this land and to unite in gratitude for the land we share.
