Educator Workshops
Educator workshops hosted by the HRS Learning Center feature nationally known speakers who specialize in topics relevant to educators and families of students with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences. Workshops are open to teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals.
Hamlin Robinson School is an approved provider of Washingon State Clock Hours.
Clock hours are available for HRS-sponsored events that are at least one hour long. The number of clock hours awarded depends on the length of each event. Preregistration and live attendance at the event are required to be eligible for clock hours.
To receive clock hours, attendees must submit the appropriate clock hour form following each event.

Think, Talk, Thrive: Strategies to Cultivate Struggle and Sense-Making in Math
led by math teacher educator and instructional coach Emily Starrett, PhD.

8:00 am - 12:00 pm
This four-day workshop immerses classroom teachers in research-backed, student-centered strategies that promote productive struggle, sense-making, and student voice in mathematics. We will focus on instruction that leverages collaborative talk to strengthen mathematical identities and engagement in the learning and doing of math.
Participants will receive 16 WA OSPI clock hours.
