Slingerland® Teacher Training

comprehensive training

Teachers are drawn to the Slingerland® Approach because it brings meaning and structure to the teaching of reading and writing. Many teachers report this course provides more information, strategies, and tools for effective instruction than any undergraduate program.

Short Classes

The Slingerland® Approach Short Classes focus on specific components of the comprehensive training. They provide practical tools for teachers, parents, or paraprofessionals who work with children who need a multisensory approach to learning.

Slingerland® Short Classes are typically held throughout the year. However, due to Covid-19, some classes have been postponed.

When these 12.5-hour classes resume, they will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Fridays and from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Clock hours or Continuing Education hours are available.

Participants can register for these classes online. Click here to register. All classes require a minimum of eight participants.

I wish I had done this [course] years ago...I feel this is one of the most beneficial training courses that I have taken.

The training is very intensive, and I highly recommend this summer program. Any reading teacher would benefit.Wendy
