Each fall, the HRS Learning Center offers a Standardized Test Preparation Course for HRS Level 8 students. This course offers students an opportunity to prepare to take standardized tests -- such as the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE) and the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) -- through:
- Learning and applying standardized test taking strategies
- Previewing and practicing with the tests' formats
- Reviewing some concepts and material on the exam
- Taking practice tests
The course is designed for students who plan to take the ISEE or SSAT, although students not registering for either test may take the class for experience. The class will provide students with valuable standardized testing experience, teach them test taking strategies, and help them create mindsets that will be of benefit them through high school, into college, and beyond.
