Health and Safety

THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF FAMILIES

Families play a vital role in maintaining safety on campus. The number one safety measure is to keep a student home when sick. We want to work with families to support student adherence to safety measures while on campus as well as at home. We understand there are families with higher risk members in their households. As a community that prioritizes health and safety, we must all do our part to adhere to state health recommendations and regulations to control transmission and potential future outbreaks. Moreover, there may be times when we ask families to comply with broader safety measures and we greatly appreciate your cooperation in this regard. We also expect you will have questions and welcome your feedback and suggestions. We are eager to listen to and help each family navigate any concerns.

COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS

All members of the Hamlin Robinson School community have a shared responsibility to prevent the spread of illness when they are aware or suspect that they have contracted a communicable disease. It is imperative all members of our school community remain committed to the safety policies and procedures listed in this and future communications to help keep students, staff, and faculty safe.

SCREENING

Staff and students with any illness must stay home. Students and staff will be assessed for illness before attending school each day. Parents must be on the alert for signs of illness in their children and to keep them home when they are sick.

Daily screenings will be completed prior to arrival at school using the health screening program, Ruvna. Community members will be asked whether they are experiencing any symptoms, have been in close contact with anyone with a confirmed COVID-19 test, or were otherwise told to self-quarantine because of concerns regarding COVID-19 infection.

SCHOOL RESPONSE TO A CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19 IN THE COMMUNITY

If your student, someone in your household, or someone your student has had 'close contact' with receives a positive COVID-19 test, please notify health@hamlinrobinson.org and/or Stacy Turner, Head of School as soon as possible.
