Resident Teacher Program
A Residency Designed for Purpose-Driven Educators
The HRS Resident Teacher Program is a hands-on, mentored teaching experience designed for aspiring educators who want to make a meaningful impact from day one
Launch Your Teaching Career at Hamlin Robinson School
Over the course of a full academic year (10 months), Resident Teachers work alongside experienced educators in a supportive, collaborative environment designed to build confidence, instructional skill, and deep understanding of how students learn best. Residents gain direct classroom experience while learning how to support students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences through structured, multisensory instruction.
More than an internship, the residency is an opportunity to grow into the craft of teaching through mentorship, guided practice, professional development, and daily classroom experience.
Applications are accepted January through June, or until the program is full.
A Foundation for the Future
By the end of the residency year, participants leave with invaluable classroom experience, specialized literacy training, and the confidence to lead their own classrooms. Many residents continue into teaching roles at HRS and schools throughout the region, bringing their expertise in structured literacy and inclusive teaching practices to students and communities beyond our campus.
