Welcome from the Head of Lower School

The Lower School at HRS is a place where students in grades 1 - 5 are known, supported, and challenged each day. I have the privilege of working alongside a team deeply committed to the intersection of instruction, intention, and community to help students build the skills to thrive. 

Through opportunities to grow, make mistakes, and try again, students experience success that shapes their sense of self, confidence, and belonging. Sometimes that growth looks like a student raising their hand for the first time, or expressing pride in their perseverance through process, not just product. At the same time, we hold high expectations for each learner, ensuring students are engaged, challenged, and develop the skills to demonstrate their capabilities.  

Over time, these daily experiences build into something powerful.
