Endowment

Endowments and strategic initiatives are the means through which our vision is translated into practice. These are funds, projects, and programs designed to help the HRS community achieve targeted and specific goals, including increasing access to tuition assistance, capital support for facilities projects, and professional development initiatives.

An endowment is structured to keep the fund principal intact while the investment earnings income is available for use. This allows donations to have a lasting impact over time versus being spent all at once. An endowment has stipulations regarding its usage – and funds are defined as “restricted.” Contributions to endowments can be of any size but require a minimum balance before distribution.
