Endowment

An endowment is structured to keep the fund principal intact while the investment earnings income is available for use. This allows donations to have a lasting impact over time versus being spent all at once. An endowment has stipulations regarding its usage – and funds are defined as “restricted.” Contributions to endowments can be of any size but require a minimum balance before distribution.

TUITION ASSISTANCE ENDOWMENT
The Tuition Assistance Endowment receives contributions in support of need-based tuition assistance grants. Earnings from this endowment provide tuition assistance for students who would not otherwise be able to attend Hamlin Robinson School.

JOAN BEAUREGARD ENDOWMENT FOR DISCOVERY AND ENRICHMENT 
The Joan Beauregard Endowment for Discovery and Enrichment sponsors experiences meant to broaden and expand understanding of our world. Earnings from the endowment help funds life-changing experiences involving cultural, historic, civic, artistic, and scientific thinking for HRS students – and the HRS community. FORTIN FAMILY ENDOWMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Fortin Family Endowment for Professional Development receives contributions in support of ongoing opportunities that will keep Hamlin Robinson School at the forefront of best teaching practices. Earnings from this endowment provide professional development assistance for HRS faculty and staff.

Hamlin Robinson School built and moved into its North Beacon Hill campus in 2015, with the goal of reaching projected building capacity within 10 years. With a growing reputation of a world-class educational program, classrooms filled to capacity within five years. Demand outpaced what could be provided by the new facility and campus. The result was an enrollment waitlist of students who needed the HRS educational program at almost every grade level.

In May of 2018, the HRS Board of Trustees seized the opportunity to purchase a highly coveted property directly across the street from the school’s current campus. The Board launched the Elevating Our Impact capital campaign in the fall of 2019. The success of that campaign allowed Hamlin Robinson School to construct and move into a new Middle School in November 2022.

Hamlin Robinson School is continuously seeking ways to evolve and grow our educational programs in order to best meet the needs of our students and the greater community. We are currently seeking a sponsorship for the following opportunity, with Donor Naming as a possibility:

HRS LEARNING CENTER SPEAKER SERIES
Funds would allow HRS to expand its current community series to include speakers who require speaker fees/travel fees as part of their appearance obligation. This series exists as a tool of outreach to help as many families as possible who are associated with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences.
